Cheryl Napier shamelessly uses her fellow improvisers as a tool to break out of the
button-down world of pharmaceutical research. And no, she can't get you anything interesting,
sorry. Her grandest long-term goal is to grow up to be the eccentric old lady down the block.
Lewis Caviness came to improv late in life when he started taking courses
with Transactors Improv Company at
the Arts Center in Carrboro. He fell in love with improv and found that he couldn't get enough of it. Since then, Lewis
has been studying and performing with inDecision Theater since it formed in 2003.
Lisa Klein is a native Chapel Hillian. She has been doing improv for
over forty years and finally received formal training a few years ago. Lisa enjoys
volunteering at her daughter's school as well as clowning for children in local
hospitals. Improv helps her manage her life, her fabulous daughter, her three
goats/three cats/three hermit crabs/numerous fish/two horses/untold dust
bunnies and all the other members of inDecision Theater.
Oliver Vest has been in a number of area productions including Peter Pan and Alien
Planet. By day
he is a Graphic Designer and by night works on too many projects and terrorizes the jackrabbits that have
infested his yard - undoubtedly come to taunt his mutant beagle into chewing through the door and releasing
the cats.
Paul Paliyenko – lifelong swingin' guy about town –
performed improv in Boston for many years before he was asked to leave. After wandering
in the wilderness for a number of years, he appeared on the doorstep one night during
an inDecision rehearsal. They brought him in, dusted him off, and immediately adopted
him. Among the many epiphanies (and multiple personalities) that emerged during his
walkabout, he has yet to find the answer to this burning question: "Do these shorts
make my butt look big?"
Philip Semanchuk has lived in Durham since 1996. He started
attending Transactors shows and classes
shortly thereafter, and has been with inDecision Theater since 2003. Before
joining the group, Philip's stage experience consisted of constructing plywood palm trees for a high school
production of South Pacific. The smell of burning jigsaw motors still causes him to burst into a chorus
of Some Enchanted Evening. Philip has a cat, speaks Swedish and spends too much time on the
Internet.
And last but not least, we're grateful to have had a chance to work with all of the former members of our troupe: Ken Wolpert, Wendi Berry, Doug Miron, Andi Sattinger, Brian Yandle, Sarah Plonksi and Deborah Klinger.
